The top 10 players returning to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns for the 2020 college football season.
Important to note that this list is based upon last year's data and film from on each specific team as well as judgment based upon the player's position both his skill and the level of talent around him at the said position and influential cohorts. Positional value also plays a large factor in these rankings as does the offensive or defensive scheme.
1. Trey Ragas, RB
2. Elijah Mitchell, RB
3. Levi Lewis, QB
4. Kam Pedescleaux, S
5. Chauncey Manac, DE
6. Percy Butler, S
7. Asjlin Washington, CB
8. Joe Dillon, LB
9. O'Cyrus Torrence, G
10. Max Mitchell, T
Honorable Mention: Shane Vallot, C; Zi'Yon Hill, DT; Andre Jones, DE; Eric Garror, CB
Ragas and Mitchell perhaps are not only the Group of 5's best running back duo but up there with the best duos in the country. Ragas is a powerful back for his size as well as shifty. With a full bill of clean health in 2020, there is no stopping this duo with Ragas and Mitchell easily clearing 2,000 yards and perhaps even both reaching the 1,000-yard plateau.
Lewis was thrown into the fire last year after winning the job out of camp and looked every bit the part. He's a run-first kind of guy with a capable left arm to unload some clean, sharp darts of passes.
Manac represents one of the best pass-rushers returning to the Sun Belt while Pedescleaux is hard to miss on the football field, making plays left and right. Washington and Butler are both tremendous athletes in coverage and both are sure tacklers in space to boot.
The offensive line group should be relatively experienced but definitely will miss the services of NFLer Kevin Dotson as Mitchell, Vallot anchor the returners on the line.
