The top 10 players returning to the Central Michigan Chippewas for the 2020 college football season.
Important to note that this list is based upon last year's data and film from on each specific team as well as judgment based upon the player's position both his skill and the level of talent around him at the said position and influential cohorts. Positional value also plays a large factor in these rankings as does the offensive or defensive scheme.

2. Troy Brown, LB
3. Luke Goedeke, T
4. Kobe Lewis, RB
5. JaCorey Sullivan, WR
6. Kalil Pimpleton, WR
7. Derek Smith, G
8. LaQuan Johnson, DE
9. Robi Stuart, DI
10. Alonzo McCoy, S
Honorable Mention: Tyrone Scott, WR; Montrae Braswell, CB; Willie Reid, S
The Chips are led by their defense in terms of star power as McKinnie-Harper recorded 10 pass breakups a season ago, and did all of this while limiting mistakes. According to Sports Info Solutions, he allowed just 51.9% of the passes thrown his way to be caught and didn't allow more than 80 yards after the catch all season long.
Brown flies around the middle of the field and brought down over 90 total tackles while also not allowing a catch longer than 27 yards a season ago. He led the team with three picks as well.
And then there's Johnson and Stuart up the middle, both decorated and talented pass-rushers who could become household names if their projections for 2020 come to fruition.
On offense, this team could use some consistency at quarterback for Sullivan and Pimpleton to break out but Lewis was a 1,000-yard rusher despite just 180 carries a season ago. Everyone may know Pimpleton's name but Sullivan is a dynamic, shifty receiver who broke 18 tackles after the catch a season ago and did so with just a few drops on the year.
