Gus Malzahn was recently named head football coach for the UCF Knights, and it was met with mostly positive responses. Malzahn comes to Orlando with a 77-38 career record, including a 68-35 record with his previous school, the Auburn Tigers. Everyone seems to have an opinion of the new Knights coach, but does he fit well with his new program? I gave me thoughts on the situation from his fit in the AAC to his offensive philiosophy.
Gus Malzahn is a good football coach capable of winning games in the AAC. His expectations won't be much lower at UCF than they were at Auburn, but it will be interesting to see what he can do with a program with the talent level the Knights possess.
What are your thoughts on the Malzahn hire?
